Artist Information
Tom Gannaway
Tom began playing guitar at the age of 8. Throughout junior high and high school, he absorbed the sounds of such jazz guitarists as Joe Pass, Earl Klugh and Lee Ritenour. In his sophomore year he placed runner up in Downbeat magazine's "Best Original Composition" contest. He was "awakened" to the beauty and power of film music via Randy Newman's score to the movie "Awakenings" and Dave Grusin's classic score to "On Golden Pond." While working as editor of "Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine", Tom met the Rippington's leader Russ Freeman, resulting in a duet performance with Russ on the tune "Under a Spanish Moon" on the Rippington's CD "Topaz." Tom's passion is to score music for film/video/multimedia that communicates truth.

Additional Comment: This music is really reminiscent of a composer named David Foster. He scored the movie Stealing Home with Jodi Foster & Mark Harmon (awesome movie). There are areas of this that feel like Cider House Rules too. More of this music PLEASE! Great stuff. At 1 minute where the light guitar comes in with strings. Gorgeous! Nice job Tom. Love the end chord too.

A beautiful melody that evokes sentimental memories... there is a purity to your composition that draws the listener into the images of Fall... you can see the colors of the tress: red, green, orange, brown...
